Elite Dance Company Instructors

Kelly’s passion for dance and working with girls of all ages is what helps make Elite Dance Company a fun and effective learning experience. It is not only about teaching the art of dance, but also teaching teamwork, self-confidence and respect. The bonding and friendships that transpire because of this program is just a bonus!

Kelly has been dancing for 16 years. She was part of her high school dance line for four years and continued into college. In high school, Kelly was captain and helped her team bring home a State Championship. She has been coaching dance since 1997, at which time she began the dance program at Nicollet Junior High. When Kelly is not dancing, she is busy keeping up with her two little girls, Natalie and Camie.

Elite Dance is very excited to have Carrie Valverde join our team. She has a wide variety of experience and will be an asset for our dancers. Carrie has been dancing since she was 2 years old, starting out in California, taking jazz, ballet, tap, and dance line. Her dance teacher had been part of the San Francisco ballet and started Carrie off to love the art of dance!

Once coming to Minnesota, she took two years of gymnastics and also continued her dance career at Deannes Dance Studio in Minnetonka. There she broadened her resume to not only include jazz, dance line, ballet, but also lyrical, hip-hop, and novelty. When Carrie was a freshman, she joined Minnetonka’s High School dance team, the Rettes. Since then she was asked to teach a hip-hop class at Gold’s Gym and now she chooses to share her love of dance with us.
