2020.2021 Fall & Spring Schedule
Dance
has to look a little different this year because of Covid but we are excited
for the changes and we are excited to be able to offer a plan that we feel will
make our families more comfortable and feel less stressed about the unknown
while allowing their children a bit of normalcy to do what they love…DANCE!
Elite
Dance is offering 2 seasons this year: a 12 week Fall season accumulating with
a Holiday show and a 12 week Winter season accumulating with our Spring
show! You can do just one season or both but you do not have to have the
pressure of signing up for a full season without knowing if we are going to be
able to have a full season.
Fall season (Sept-Dec) will consist
of dancers learning and progressing their skills, technique, and dances while
preparing for a performance on stage; each recreational combo class, including
Pre-Pointe, will perform 2 dances and have a $50.00 costume fee due Sept 15
with the exception of Daffodils & Hip Hop classes; Daffodils & Hip Hop
classes will perform 1 dance and have a $30 costume fee due Sept 15.
Costumes will consist of a leotard, jazz skirt, tap skirt, and/or ballet skirt,
and tights or leotard and leggings for Hip Hop. Shoe requirements will
remain the same as stated on our website.
Winter season (Jan-April) will consist
of dancers continuing to learn and progress their skills, technique, and they
will learn and prepare all new dances for their performance on stage; each
recreational combo class, including Pre-Pointe, will perform 2 dances and have
a $50.00 costume fee due Jan 15 with the exception of Daffodils & Hip Hop
classes; Daffodils & Hip Hop classes will perform 1 dance and have a $30

December 7 with no classes the week of November 23;

April 5 with no classes the week of NYA Central School’s Spring
Break;
Spring Show Date :April 10th

2020-2021 Competition Classes
STAR LEVEL COMPETITION TEAM
The Star Level is an introduction into the competition scene! This level will compete jazz and tap and they will compete at 2 regional competitions! Each level now has the option to also compete Lyrical!

THEY WILL COMPETE AT 2 REGIONAL COMPETITIONS!
ELITE LEVEL COMPETITION TEAMS
The Elite Level is for dancers who are ready to commit to a higher level of dance. This level requires a higher time and financial commitment. Elite Teams will compete at 4 regional competitions and end their season competing at Nationals! Elite dancers are required to take their team time slot as well as the required tech classes for their specific team. Elite Team Dancers qualify to be selected for a competition solo and/or duet.
Please keep in mind, Competition Teams are separated by skill level, not age...We have the dancers best interest in mind and we place dancers where we feel it will be most beneficial for them as an individual as well as placing them with individuals that can successfully contribute together as a team.
Dancers will audition for their specific competition teams at the end of the required Summer Tech Camps in August. Star Level Competition Dancers do not have to audition but they are required to take one week of the August Tech Camps. See Summer Classes tab on the left for dates and times.
All Competition Dancers MUST take the required tech class(es) in addition to their class time below.
